Hello and welcome! We’re a group of passionate digital marketers with over 20 years of digital marketing experience.

The people behind novel have worked with some of the biggest companies in the world, and also found success with SME sized businesses that give the big players a run for their money.

Whether it’s SEO, PPC or social media, we believe that with the right strategy, you can level the playing field. Sure, budgets may differ, but there’s always a window of opportunity. Our aim is to find that window, help you take the opportunity, and then let you flourish.

We’re based in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, and we’re always learning and adapting to new technologies and digital innovations, ensuring our clients keep ahead of the competition. Oh, and we have an incredibly cute Springer Spaniel as an office dog.

We like success at novel. We know success comes in various forms. It could be top rankings on Google. It could be ROI on your marketing spend. It could be a digital transformation of your business, or a rewiring of your brand strategy to incorporate digital storytelling.

We’re committed to those successes, and proud to offer offer brands both big and small trustworthy, accountable solutions for all aspects of online marketing.

We’ll also pass on 1% of all fees we make to the charity Meningitis Now (you can keep an eye on our progress here). It’s a transparent approach that just keeps on giving. That’s novel.

Technology has also advanced in that time too. Millennials have moved aside and Generation Z – the creators – are running the show.

If we did the same thing as everyone else, it wouldn’t allow us to distinguish ourselves in what is already a crowded market. We want to be known for fresh, novel ideas, and approaches that ultimately drive performance and solve problems for the clients we work with.

We also wanted novel to reflect the people that work for the brand. Look up the definition for novel and you’ll see it says ‘interestingly unusual‘. Well, we think that sums up our founder Simon Heyes very nicely 🙂

The word novel also implies ‘book’. Books contain stories, and a lot of our thinking and service relates to storytelling, so we think the name suits us perfectly.
