Tailored Journeys are a small travel agency based in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire. They provide tailor-made luxury holidays to far away destinations, such as Africa, Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
Challenge
Tailored Journeys are a modest travel agent with a modest budget. But after relying on Google Ads to drive expensive enquiries, they wanted to explore other lower cost digital channels to drive enquiries. The OTA marketplace is saturated with big players – Kuoni, Turquoise Holidays, BA Holiday and Virgin Holidays to name a few, but the challenge was to carve a niche, nail it, and then expand.
Solution
After developing a bespoke content plan with a specific eye on future searches for honeymoons, we focused on optimising the content across their luxury holiday destinations of Sri Lanka, the Maldives and Mauritius. After seeing the new content fly up the search result pages, the same plan was then rolled out to the rest of their site & destinations.
Results
Before Covid, Tailored Journeys received a 79% increase in non-brand SEO traffic, and from Covid to the end of June 2023, a further 31% increase. This in turn has driven a significant increase in low cost enquiries, and a leap in bookings for their key destinations.
